Welcome to VK Functions Hub! I am Vohara Kodikara, studying at the Colombo International School. From the fast-paced badminton courts to the focused intensity of study, my journey has been shaped by challenges that stretch both mind and body. At twelve, I became one of the youngest students in Sri Lanka to complete a diploma in ICT (Pearson assured) , diving into coding, algorithms, and problem-solving long before most peers. I complemented this early STEM exploration with victories in the International STEM Olympiad and an advanced HarvardX course in Energy and Thermodynamics  and MIT electronic course at fifteen, experiences that taught me how curiosity paired with persistence can turn complex problems into achievable solutions. Meanwhile, as the All-Island No. 2 junior national badminton player, I learned strategy, resilience, and the importance of discipline under pressure. Academic accolades — including a double promotion, subject prizes, Higher Achiever recognition, and international Kumon distinctions such as ASHR, distinction in Royal International Chemistry quiz — reflect the consistent effort I bring to every challenge. Music and public speaking have further nurtured creativity and confidence, allowing me to express ideas beyond formulas and code. Guided by these experiences, my ambition is to harness science and technology to empower education for those in need and to build solutions that have a tangible, positive impact on communities.

Beyond these endeavours, I have also authored books on Energy and Thermodynamics, Electronics and Piezoelectricity, and a short story collection, A Journey with Waves, combining my passions for STEM and storytelling. I also authored ‘Collection of Creative Poems’, which was recognised and archived by the National Library of Sri Lanka.
